Nikita Alexeyev : Artist
Moscow conceptual artists in the 1980s were forced underground under the restrictions of the Soviet government. APT ART "apartment art" was the name of home exhibitions of modern art displayed in artists' apartments. The artwork incorporated trash, political propaganda, kitsch, and political messages in opposition to the Soviet regime.
