In the January 1950 issue of Redbook magazine, author Aldous Huxley made predictions mostly focused on lifestyle and economy in the future. On farming he states 'Landlocked inlets, lakes, ponds and swamps will be scientifically farmed.' Indeed, the role of farmers changed substantially, because the planet was to serve ever more people. In 2000, robot machines were no strange appearance in the farming fields.
