The Bulldozer Exhibition was an unofficial art exhibition in a vacant lot at Belyayevo by Moscow artists, that was physically bull-dozed by police. In the USSR, Soviet realism was the only legal art form, which forced all other art forms underground, out of public view.
The Bulldozer exhibition was an act of protest against the Soviet regime, and displayed many examples of Sots-Art, 'Socialist Art', which rejected the artistic aesthetic doctrine of the Soviet state.
