Solar power could come from glitter

The Futurist Magazine :
Photovoltaic cells the size of a piece of glitter could be embedded in textiles to provide a nearly ubiquitous source of mobile energy. Developed at Sandia National Laboratories, the tiny cells could also lower the costs of solar power, as they could be mass produced using common micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) techniques.
