Climate change to displace as many as 70 million Bangladeshis

The Futurist Magazine :
"Much of Bangladesh is at or near sea level, so if the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s forecast of a seven-meter sea-level rise this century comes true, possibly 17% of the country could be submerged. That would render 60 million to 70 million Bangladeshis homeless and destroy the livelihoods of countless more. Bangladesh is investing heavily in flood and storm preparations now, but India’s diversion of major river ways between the two countries could still spell major trouble."
