But all around was plunged in the gardens ... Spreading clumps of trees covered all the space almost to the Kremlin, leaving a lonely island of architectural groups. Street-alleys crossed the green already yellowing sea. A living streams of pedestrians, cars, crews spreded across it.Everything smelled with a distinct freshness, confident cheerfulness.
Sure, it was Moscow, but a new Moscow, transformed and enlightened.
